Privacy Policy of Movixel
Updated Date: September 24, 2026
At Movixel (package name: com.movixel.videogen), protecting your privacy is one of our top priorities, and we are committed to safeguarding the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes the data we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it safe while you are using our app ("Movixel" or "the App").
By using Movixel, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms below, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
We want to be upfront about what data we do and do not collect:
What We Do NOT Collect:
- No Manual Registration Required: You can use Movixel without creating an account, entering an email address, or providing personal details. The app sets up an anonymous guest session on your device automatically, so you can start creating right away.
- No Images or Videos Stored on Our Servers: The images and videos you create stay on your device. We do not permanently collect, store, or share any generated images or videos.
- No Personal Identifiers: We do not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email address, or physical address.
What We DO Collect:
- Device Information: To optimize your experience, we collect basic technical information about your device (for example, device model, operating system version, screen resolution, language, and timezone). This helps us make sure the app works well across different devices.
- Device Identifier: We generate a unique, anonymous device identifier by applying a one-way hash (MD5) to a combination of the Android-provided device identifier (ANDROID_ID) and the app's package name. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally and is used only to operate the service. If the Android device identifier is unavailable, an identifier derived from a random UUID is used instead. We also use the Firebase Installation ID as an additional anonymous identifier for service operation. For installs identified as coming from our direct Meta campaigns, a Facebook SDK anonymous device identifier is also used (see Section 7).
- Automatic Guest Session: When you first open the app, an anonymous guest session is created automatically from your device identifier. This lets us offer personalized features (such as keeping your creation history) without asking you to register. The session data contains no personally identifiable information.
- Usage Data: We record how you interact with the app — which features you use, how often, and so on. This helps us improve the app and tailor it to your preferences.
- Advertising Identifier: We may collect your Google Advertising ID (GAID) for advertising attribution. If you have enabled "Limit Ad Tracking" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" on your device, we will not collect this identifier. You can reset your advertising ID at any time in your device settings.
- Audio Data: If you choose to use the in-app audio recording feature, we collect the audio you record with your device's microphone. Recording happens only when you explicitly start it, and the audio is used solely as custom audio (such as background music) for AI video generation. See Section 3 for full details.
- Push Notification Data: We use notification identifiers to deliver service notifications (such as generation progress updates) to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, and doing so does not affect the app's core features.
2. Uploading Images/Videos for AI Generation
Several features let you upload images or videos to generate AI-styled content. Here is how that works:
- Uploaded Media: When you upload an image or video, it is used to generate the styled image or video based on the media's attributes. Uploaded files are transmitted securely to our servers for processing.
- Temporary Processing: Uploaded media and generated results are kept on our servers only for as long as processing requires, and are deleted automatically once processing is complete.
- No Permanent Storage: We do not permanently store the images or videos you upload, nor any personal details associated with them.
3. Audio Recording and Usage
Movixel offers an optional audio recording feature that lets you record a short audio clip in the app and use it as custom audio (such as background music) for AI-generated videos:
- Microphone Access: The app asks for microphone permission only when you choose to use the recording feature. The permission is requested at runtime and can be denied or revoked at any time in your device settings.
- What We Record: Audio is captured locally on your device with its built-in microphone, and only while you are actively recording a clip you initiated.
- Purpose: The recorded audio is used only as an audio input (such as background music) for AI video generation.
- Upload and Processing: Once you confirm the recording, the audio file is uploaded securely to our servers and used during AI video generation.
- Temporary Storage: Uploaded audio files are kept on our servers only for processing and are deleted automatically once processing is complete.
- No Voice Identification: We never use recorded audio for voice recognition, speaker identification, or any other biometric analysis.
- Local Cache: Recorded audio is cached temporarily on your device during the recording session. You can clear this cache at any time by clearing the app's data in your device settings.
4. Facial Data Collection and Usage
To power our AI image and video generation features, Movixel may process a limited amount of facial data when you upload photos or videos that contain faces:
- What We Process: Facial landmarks (such as the positions of the eyes, nose, and mouth) and feature details such as contours and proportions, taken from photos or videos you upload voluntarily.
- Purpose: Facial data is used solely to produce personalized, high-quality images and videos, to keep visual effects correctly aligned, and to improve the accuracy of AI-generated content.
- Temporary Processing: Facial data is processed securely and stored temporarily on encrypted servers strictly for generating the AI results, and is deleted automatically once processing is complete, typically within 24 hours.
- No Sharing: We never share facial data with third parties.
5. How We Use Your Data
The data we collect helps us deliver a better experience:
- App Operation: Keeping the app working properly and delivering the features you expect.
- Improvement & Updates: Usage data guides bug fixes, improvements, and new features.
- Security: Protecting against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Attribution & Analytics: Understanding how users discover the app and measuring the performance of marketing efforts.
- Notifications: Sending service notifications about your generation tasks and app updates.
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Purchase and Subscription Data
When you make in-app purchases or subscribe to our services:
- Transaction Data: We collect purchase tokens, product identifiers, order IDs, and subscription status in order to verify and deliver purchased content or services.
- Payment Processing: All payments are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not directly collect or store your payment card details, billing address, or other financial information. Google's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled.
- Subscription Status: We keep records of your subscription status (active, expired, cancelled) so we can give you the right access to premium features.
- Data Retention: Transaction records are kept for as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
7. Third-Party Services
Movixel relies on the following third-party services for functionality, analytics, and user experience:
- Google Play Services: For app distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription management. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected by Google Play.
- Google Play Billing: For processing in-app purchases and subscriptions. Purchase tokens and transaction data are handled through Google Play.
- Firebase Analytics: For understanding app usage patterns and producing anonymous usage statistics. Firebase may collect device information, app usage data, and anonymous identifiers. For details, see Firebase Privacy Information.
- Firebase Installations: For generating a unique, anonymous installation identifier used in service operation.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging & OneSignal: For delivering push notifications to your device (such as generation status updates and service announcements). OneSignal may collect anonymous device identifiers and notification delivery data. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings. For details, see the OneSignal Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Install Referrer: For understanding how you installed the app (install attribution). Install referrer data is used only for attribution and analytics.
- Google Advertising ID: We collect your Google Advertising ID for advertising attribution only. If "Limit Ad Tracking" is enabled on your device, we do not collect it.
- Facebook SDK (Meta): Used only to measure installs that come from our direct Meta (Facebook) campaigns. The SDK is disabled by default and stays completely dormant — it is not initialized and reports nothing — unless the install is identified as coming from a direct campaign. When activated, it reports the install/activation event and an anonymous device identifier to Meta; the same identifier is sent to our own backend and used together with Meta's server-side Conversions API to measure conversions. Purchase events are reported server-side only. We do not use Facebook login, sharing, or deep links. For details, see the Meta Privacy Policy.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy covering how data is collected and used. We encourage you to review them.
8. Attribution and Analytics
To measure the effectiveness of our marketing and improve our services, we may collect:
- Attribution Data: Install referrer information, advertising identifiers, and anonymous device fingerprints (such as device model, screen resolution, language, timezone, and network type) for marketing attribution.
- Direct-Campaign Attribution (Meta): For installs identified as coming from our direct Meta campaigns, the Facebook SDK may be activated to report the install/activation event and an anonymous device identifier to Meta for conversion measurement. For all other installs, the SDK stays dormant and reports nothing.
- Analytics Data: Anonymous usage statistics, feature interaction data, and performance metrics via Firebase Analytics.
- IP Address: Your IP address may be collected temporarily for attribution purposes and is not used to identify you personally.
- Opt-Out: You can limit advertising tracking in your device settings (Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization), and you can reset your advertising ID at any time.
9. Data Sharing
We do not share, trade, or sell any personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share anonymized, aggregated data with the third-party services listed in Section 7, only for the purposes described in this policy. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our legal rights.
10. Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your data, including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
- Encrypted server storage for temporary processing
- Access controls and security monitoring
No system is completely secure, however. Although we take every precaution to keep your data safe, please remember that any transmission of data over the internet carries inherent risk.
11. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy:
- Uploaded media, audio recordings, and facial data: Deleted automatically after processing, typically within 24 hours.
- Device identifiers and session data: Kept for as long as you use the app.
- Transaction records: Kept as required by applicable laws and for dispute resolution.
- Analytics data: Kept in aggregated, anonymized form.
12. Children's Privacy
Movixel is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have accidentally collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
13. Your Rights
You have the following rights over your data:
- Access & Control: You can review the data we collect and request corrections or deletion.
- Data Deletion: You may ask us to delete your data by contacting us at the email address below. Because we do not permanently store images, videos, or personal information, there is very little to manage — most of your data stays on your device.
- Opt-Out of Tracking: You can limit advertising tracking in your device settings and reset your advertising ID at any time.
- Notification Settings: You can turn push notifications on or off at any time in your device settings.
- Subscription Management: You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Google Play Store account settings.
- Uninstall: You can stop using the app at any time to end data collection. Uninstalling removes all data stored locally on your device.
14. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence. We put appropriate safeguards in place to protect your data no matter where it is processed.
15. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate, new features, or legal obligations. When we do, the "Updated Date" at the top of this page will change. Please check back periodically to stay informed.
